Abstract
Rijetke bolesti su prema definiciji one od kojih boluje manje od 5 osoba na 10.000 stanovnika. Rijetke su bolesti uglavnom genski vezane, kronične i postupno napredujuće, često smrtonosne, opterećuju bolesnika i njegovi obitelj kao i zdravstveni sustav. Ti su bolesnici prepoznati kao "siročad" zdravstvenog sustava zbog malog broja pojedinačnih bolesnika. Tek je zadnjih desetak godina razvojem medicinske znanosti, osobito genetike, došlo do saznanja i stvaranja lijekova koji ovim bolesnicima vraćaju nadu u bolji život i oporavak. Dobro zdravlje osigurava se pravilnom prehranom, a pravilna prehrana potrebna je radi normalnog razvoja organizma i njegovog djelovanja, normalne reprodukcije, rasta i razmnožavanja, optimalne razine aktivnosti i radne učinkovitosti, otpornosti organizma prema infekciji i bolesti, sposobnosti oporavka nakon tjelesnih oštećenja i povreda i, konačno, duhovnog zadovoljstva i sreće čovjeka.
Abstract (english)
Rare diseases are defined by those who suffer less than 5 people per 10,000 inhabitants. Rare diseases are mostly gene related, chronic and progressive, often lethal, burden patients and his family as well as health system. These patients are identified as "orphans" of the health system due to the small number of individual patients. Only in the last ten years, with the development of medical science, especially genetics, there have been discoveries and the creation of drugs that return these patients to hope for a better life and recovery. Good health is ensured by proper nutrition, and proper nutrition is needed for the normal development of the organism and its action, normal reproductive, growth and reproduction, optimal levels of activity and performance, resistance to infection and disease, ability to recover after bodily injury and injury, Finally, spiritual satisfaction and happiness of man.
