AbstractOtok Kaprije okružen je samoniklim biljem od kojeg je mnogo jestivo. Nažalost digitalizacija i moderan način života udaljavaju ljude od znanja o prepoznavanju, branju i korištenju tj. pripremi jestivog samoniklog bilja. Ipak, javlja se i drugi pravac a to je trend zdravog života, te vraćanje svijesti o dobrobitima prirode. Odlazak u prirodu, upoznavanje, branje te korištenje divljeg bilja pojedinci prepoznaju kao jedini način da održe zdrav duh i tijelo. Priroda nam pruža sve što nam treba, stoga je važno da je očuvamo, poštujemo i prigrlimo. Svrha ovog rada je približiti čitatelju bogatstvo otoka Kaprija, tradiciju branja, načine konzerviranja bilja-kako bi se moglo konzumirati i van sezone, te istaknuti najrasprostranjenije vrste poput motra, kapara, kupina i sl. Za stvaranje ovog rada korištena je stručna znastvena literatura, internetski članci te usmena predaja starih naseljenika otoka Kaprija.

Parallel abstract (English)Kaprije island is teeming with wild growing plants of which many are edible. Unfortunately, digitalisation and modern lifestyle estrange people from the knowledge of recognition, gathering, preparation and use of wild-growing plants. In spite of that, another trend is emerging: healthy lifestyle and rediscovering the knowledge of nature᾽s benefits. More and more individuals have recognized that hiking in nature, recognition, picking and use of wild-growing plants as the only way to keep the spirit and body in good health. The nature offers us everything that we need so it is of utmost importance that we preserve, respect and accept it. The aim of this paper is to show the reader the richess of Kaprije island; to explain the ways of preservation so that the plants can be consumed all year round; and to present the most abundant plants like samphire (Crithmum maritime L.), caper (Capparis spinosa L.), blackberries (Rubus ssp.) and others. Technical literature, internet articles and oral sources from the natives of Kaprije were used in the creation of this paper.
