This final paper deals with the topic of gastronomy and tourism, ie world delicacies that are part of the tourist offer of certain tourist destinations. In addition to the theoretical approach, all factors of tourism are defined and explained, ie its effects on the Croatian economy. Today, in many tourist destinations, there is an expansion of the tourist offer through specialized types of tourism (selective forms of tourism) in order to meet the growing demand for a particular type of tourism. In this paper, we will encounter the concept of gastronomy (gastronomic tourism) and its supply and demand. The main goal of this paper is to explore and define the importance of gastronomy and world delicacies for creating a tourist offer in a particular place (destination). Also, an important segment of the work is to emphasize the importance of tourism for the economy of a country, as well as the importance for the development of local and smaller communities that are not able to lead mass tourism.
