This paper deals with the analysis and modelling of information system. It is determined that we are dealing with very important stages in the development of any information system. Analysis and modelling are also the stages that involve many different actions and steps. Planning is the first step in the development, and it determines what the system should be like, and the analysis is directly linked to planning because it sets out the requirements for the information system. Following the analysis of information system, the data modelling can start. This step also builds on the previous one, that is, on the analysis. It is determined that data modelling aims to identify the different categories of data and to determine relationships among them. It also tells us that there are different forms of modelling such as conceptual, logical and physical modelling. The choice of the data model needs to be aligned with predetermined and discovered requirements. In addition of data modelling in the development of the information system, it is necessary to also perform modelling of processes and objects. After the completion of the modelling, it is necessary to document all of the software solutions.
