Women's development society had a different role in it. Trough history she has been discriminated and oppressed. The status of women is quite changed today, they are equal to men in lows and regulations, but in practice is improvement still needed. Pregnant women, mothers and nursing mothers, parents and adoptive parents in Croatian law have specifically required law. Before everything is their protection and the protection of children. Parents have right to parental support for children and their wellbeing and quality development. In terms of employment of men and women there is discrimination. Women have been discriminated by the employer because they believe that is to hire women higher cost then hiring a man. During the employment comes to the sexual discrimination and sexual harassment. Big problem is also the wages for the performed work. The employer is obliged to pay equal wages for men and women worker, for the same job. When we talk about discrimination or harassment, the best example is mobbing. Mobbing is a specific way of behavior on work place, that one or more person in many ways tries to disturbed and violated the dignity of another person. Harassment in the workplace is growing problem in society. Abuser has no respect and subjective evaluation for his victim, while the victim in such work circumstances can’t demonstrate their expertise and professionalism, and threatened her job and mental health. Harassment at work can be punished and sentenced to prison up to two years. Feminism is group of ideologies and political movements where the goals was to improve the position of women in society and the equalization of women’s rights with the rights of men, to that law today feminists continue to struggle.
