Modern transportation technologies are used to improve safety, comfort, and accessibility of transportation systems while providing ecological benefits with the use of green technology. There are numerous modern technologies that aim to achieve this, such as electric and autonomous vehicles, project SARTRE, bicycle and scooter sharing systems, magneticlevitation and Hyperloop trains, drones, SkySail aircrafts. Many of these modern transportation technologies are already in use, while some are still undergoing testing, but they should be available for public use in near future. Electric vehicles have been in use for a while, and they are becoming more accessible as technology advances. Autonomous technology is practically here, though full autonomy is still being worked on. Modern transportation systems such as electric vertical take-off and landing aircrafts, magneticlevitation and Hyperloop are not far off either, but they have encountered some obstacles in development that prevent them from being fully implemented in traffic. Global Positioning System is widely used because it enabled a revolution in navigation, so it is an integral part of all modern technology. Project “Integrated mobility in the area of Šibenik“ aims to solve local problems of public transportation in Šibenik. Aim of this thesis is to list and explain the application of modern transportation technologies in all types of traffic.
