Quality control is the application of formalized systems with the aim of achieving maximum customer satisfaction with minimum total costs and achieving constant progress. The quality control system includes the organizational structure, procedures, processes, and necessary resources for the application of quality control improvements in each organizational unit. Quality systems (ISO 9000) and environmental control system (ISO 14000) are applied in companies. The international standard ISO 9001 is a type of model for quality assurance in vision, development, production, delivery, and preservation. This standard is implemented when a company owns the entire product development cycle from concept to maintenance. ISO 14001 is an international standard from the 14000 series of standards that is closely related to environmental protection. The ISO 14001 environmental control system is a control tool that allows an organization of any size to identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products and services and improve its relationship with the environment. ISO 14001 can be applied in all companies in any sector. Companies are complex and prone to change in the external and internal environment, and long-term development is conditioned by education and experience, quality of service, existing resources, and innovation. Certain companies are certified and then is easier to position themselves in the market and develop better. Certification is a process where an independent organization, based on the performed conformity assessment, determines whether the product, process, control system or a certain person meets the conditions specified in the given normative document. The certification process is an independent assessment conducted by certification houses that are authorized to do so and that are professional in their work.
