Traffic accidents are an integral and unavoidable part of road traffic, ie an everyday occurrence on the roads that often results in bodily injuries and loss of health, tragic loss of human lives and minor or major material damage. A traffic accident can be caused due to driver errors, the condition and equipment of the road, traffic on the road, the vehicle itself, but also various incident factors. The higher the number of traffic accidents and their harmful consequences, the lower the safety of traffic participants. One of the key determinants of road traffic in every country is traffic safety, and in order to achieve this, preventive measures, actions and activities are taken. All countries of the world, including the Republic of Croatia, are facing too many traffic accidents. Although the number of traffic accidents has been declining in recent years, the desired effect has still not been achieved, which is why it is necessary to introduce more measures to achieve a higher level of traffic safety and awareness among traffic participants.
