Abstract
Pivo je danas piće od iznimne važnosti što se tiče cijelog svijeta pa tako i Hrvatske. Sve brojnija istraživanja ukazuju na to da ljudi vole ispijati pivo, pa i u većim količinama. U čast tome piću, svake godine se održavaju manifestacije kao što je Oktober fest i Dan Svetog Patrika. Pivo je odigralo važnu ulogu u povijesti. Zahvaljujući tom plemenitom piću mnogi ljudi su preživljavali, i iz toga razloga ga još i nazivaju „tekući kruh“. Jednako tako bitno je bilo otkriće hladnjaka. Na taj način omogućili su proizvodnju piva tijekom cijele godine. Da je pivo uistinu važno piće govori nam prvi zapis u kamen prije više od 5000. godina. Kao svaki prehrambeni proizvod tako je i pivo pod stalnim nadzorom. Njegova zdravstvena ispravnost se stalno kontrolira. Energetska vrijednost jedne litre standardnog piva jednaka je jednoj litri punomasnog mlijeka.
Abstract (english)
Today beer is a drink of great importance for the whole world, so also for Croatia. Growing body of research suggests that people like to drink beer, even in larger quantities. In honour of this drink, every year there are events such as the October Fest and Saint Patrick`s Day. Beer played an important role in history. Thanks to this noble drink, many people have survived, and for this reason, it is called "liquid bread". Equally important was the discovery of the refrigerator. In this way, beer production it was possible throughout the year. Importance of a beer is proved in its first record in the stone old 5000. years. Like every food product, beer is under constant control. The energy value of one litre of standard beer is equal to one litre of whole milk.
