In addition to the available literature and relevant Internet sources, the topic related to family entrepreneurship is covered in the work. Entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurs themselves are a daily part of today's life, and new companies are created every day, and thus new entrepreneurs. The importance and role of family entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia and the world was emphasized. Today, the family business is one of the most important generators of wealth and employment in the world economy. Although it is difficult to precisely assess their representation in the global framework, certain estimates indicate that the share of entrepreneurial companies founded or run by families ranges from 65 to 90 percent, in relation to the total number of active companies in the world economy. A family business is defined as a business of any status, whose existence and development are influenced by family members with a majority share in the capital and their work in the company.
