Abstract
Bodybuiling ili tijelogranja je sustavni razvoj i definicija muskulature odnosno hipertrofije, te razvoj simetrije. Počeci tijelogradnje sežu u 19. Stoljeće kada je počelo zanimanje za razvoj mišićavosti tijela po uzoru na stare Grke. Na treningu u teretani izvode se vježbe sa spravama i utezima s ciljem stimuliranja rasta mišićne mase. Za rast i obnovu mišića važna je prehrana sa dovoljnim brojem kalorija, s mnogo manjih obroka tokom dana, da se potakne metabolizam, olakša aporpcija hrane i održi stalna razina šećera u krvi. Cijela prehrana je podjeljena na bjelančevine, ugljikohidrate, masti i vodu. Bjelančevine su odgovorne za rast i obnovu mišića a ugljikohidrati nadoknađuju gubitak energije usljed treninga. Masti su esencijalne za toplinu i zaštitu organa ali u prehrani bodybuildera najmanje su zastupljene. Često se koriste i dodaci prehrani kao što su koncentrati bjelančevina u prahu, vitaminski pripravci, kreatini, weight gaineri ali i anabolički steroidi. Mnogo atleta nemogu financirati svoja očekivanja na pro nivou a takve onda potiču sponzori koji su uvjereni da mogu od osobe koju sponzoriraju steći osobu koja će svoje sljedbenike uvjeriti da je sponzor odgovoran za njihov uspjeh. Na natjecanjima sudci ocjenjuju mišićnu masu, definiciju mišića, simetriju, proporcije i nastup na pozornici.

Bodybuilding of building the body is systematic development and striation of muscle of hypertrophy and development of symmetry. Begginings od bodybuiling dates in 19.century when people started to get intrest in muscular bodies modeled on ancient Greeks. On training in the gym excercises are made on machines and dumbells with goal of developing muscle mass. For growth and recovery, nutrition with suficient number of calories is important, with many small meals during the day, to encurage metabolism, facilitate apsorption of food and to keep steady level of sugar in the blood. Complete diet is divided into proteins, carbohydrates, fat and water. Proteins are responsible for growth and renewal of the muscle and carbohydrates compensate loss of energy during the training. Diatary supplements are often used in a way of whey supplements, vitamin preparations, creatin, weight gainers but also anabolic steroids. Not many athletes can finance their expetations on pro lever so sponsors support people who are financed by them, in return sponsors see athlete as a person who knows how to sell their products and to be a greatfull that sponsor is responsible for their success. On contest judges evaluated muscle mass, stiation of muscles, symmetry, proportion and performance on stage.
