Abstract
Ovaj rad temeljiti se na ravnopravnosti spolova, s naglaskom na diskriminaciju žena pri zapošljavanju na rukovodećim mjestima. I Republika Hrvatska je kao i ostale članice Europske Unije prepoznala značaj žena oporavku i daljnjem razvoja gospodarstva. Političke odrednice i poslovne smjernice okrenule su se razvoju poduzetništva sa posebnim mjerama za žensko poduzetništvo. Unatoč velikom pomaku od samih početaka ženske borbe za ravnopravnost, diskriminacija žena vrlo je jaka i prisutna u svim sferama karijera žena. Prepreke poput staklenog stropa u napredovanju, te diskriminacija radi majčinstva, samo su neki od problema koje se nastoje riješiti novim mjerama i međunarodnim konvencijama.
Abstract (english)
This paper is based on gender equality, with focus on discrimination against women at employment in managerial positions. Republic of Croatia recognized, as well as other members of the European Union, the importance of women for recovery and further growth of the country's economy. Political and operating guidelines turned toward the development of entrepreneurship with specific measures for women's entrepreneurship. Despite the progress from the beginning of women's struggle for equality, discrimination against women is very strong and present in all spheres of a woman’s career. Obstacles such as the glass ceiling in progress, and discrimination connected to motherhood, are just some of the problems that need to be solved by the new measures and international conventions.
