Dominantan položaj u ukupnoj svjetskoj proizvodnji ima kravlje mlijeko, zatim slijede ovčje, kozje i manje značajne količine bivoljeg i magarećeg mlijeka.

The largest consumer of milk is Asia, Europe spends a little less and America, while Africa and Australia consume less milk compared to other regions. The Republic of Croatia the development of agricultural production and milk production, far behind the EU member states. Nevertheless, Croatia Domestic production covers about 80% of annual demand for milk and dairy products. Croatia is a strategically important part of the commodity - traffic flow, and it is very important that this priority use. The most convenient way to use the transport of milk. This will reduce imports, increase production, and accordingly, the export of milk in European countries. Croatia currently has the largest export to Russia, but the country has imposed an embargo, so the milk producers find themselves in big trouble. That the commodity - traffic flows better utilized, producers should not be faced with such problems.
