Abstract
Med je namirnica od davnina poznata čovjeku, vrlo cijenjena zbog njegove hranjive vrijednosti. Zbog svoje jedinstvene funkcije, med nazivamo najsavršenijim proizvodom prirode. Med se dijeli prema više karakteristika, no osnovna podjela je na cvijetni ili nektarni i med medljikovac. U radu se naglašava značaj europskih oznaka kvalitete kao što su „zaštićena oznaka izvornosti“ (ZOI) i „zaštićena oznaka zemljopisnog porijekla“ (ZOZP). Tim sustavima štiti se ime proizvoda koji dolaze iz određenog područja i proizvedenih tradicionalnim postupkom. Također se u radu naglašava oznaka Med hrvatskih pčelinjaka koja pruža bitne informacije o podrijetlu i kvaliteti meda koju je izradila Hrvatska agencija za poljoprivredu i hranu (HAPIH) u suradnji s Hrvatskim pčelarskim savezom. Med posjeduje svojstva koja ga čine nezaobilaznim dijelom zdrave prehrane. S obzirom na to, u radu se obrazlaže značaj meda kao prirodne i hranjive namirnice u ljudskoj prehrani, istražujući njegove pozitivne učinke na zdravlje i nutritivne vrijednosti.
Abstract (english)
Honey is a food known to man since ancient times, highly valued for its nutritional value. Because of its unique function, we call honey the most perfect product of nature. Honey is divided according to several characteristics, but the basic division is into flower or nectar honey and honeycomb honey. The paper emphasizes the importance of European quality marks such as "protected designation of origin" (PDO) and "protected designation of geographical origin" (PGO). These systems protect the name of products that come from a certain area and are produced by a traditional process. The paper also highlights the Honey of Croatian Apiaries label, which provides essential information about the origin and quality of honey, created by the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food (CAAF) in cooperation with the Croatian Beekeeping Association. Honey has properties that make it an indispensable part of a healthy diet. Considering this, the paper explains the importance of honey as a natural and nutritious food in the human diet, investigating its positive effects on health and nutritional values.
