Abstract
Hercegbosanska županija prema geografskom položaju predstavlja važnu mrežu cesta Bosne i Hercegovine. Sam položaj županije smješten je na samoj granici sa Republikom Hrvatskom. Kroz Hercegbosansku županiju prolaze neke od glavnih prometnih cesta Bosne i Hercegovine. Županija ima preko 1100 km cestovne infrastrukture. Najvećim djelom su to magistralne ceste čija je duljina ukupno 512 km, regionalnih cesta ima 310 km a lokalnih 170 km. Kroz županiju prolazi jedna od bitnijih magistralnih cesta u BIH a to je magistralna cesta M 16 Gradiška- Kamensko. Također županija je povezana i sa jednom od najrazvijenijih cesta Bosne i Hercegovine M15 Kozarska Dubica-Posušje. Najveći problem prilikom gradnji i održavanja cesta predstavlja političko stanje u državi koje nije idealno. Hercegbosanska županija ima dobre izvođače cesta no međutim politička situacija brani bolju i kvalitetniju izradu prometnica.
Abstract (english)
According to its geographical location, Herceg-Bosnian County represents an important network of roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The location of the county is right on the border with the Republic of Croatia. Some of the main traffic roads of Bosnia and Herzegovina pass through Herceg-Bosnia County. The county has over 1100 km of road infrastructure. Most of them are main roads with a total length of 512 km, 310 km of regional roads and 170 km of local roads. One of the most important highways in Bosnia and Herzegovina runs through the county, namely highway M 16 Gradiška-Kamensko. The county is also connected to one of the most developed roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina M15 Kozarska Dubica-Posušje. The biggest problem when building and maintaining roads is the political situation in the country, which is not ideal. Herceg-Bosnia County has good road contractors, but the political situation prevents better and higher-quality construction of roads.
