AbstractMotivacija potiče kreativnost, inovativnost, razvoj zaposlenika i njihovo zadržavanje u poduzeću. Postoje dvije glavne grupe tih teorija, to su sadržajne i procesne teorije. Sadržajne teorije: Teorija hijerarhije potreba, Teorija trostupanjske hijerarhije, Teorija motivacije postignuća, Dvofaktorska teorija motivacije, Minerova teorija uloga, Teorija x i teorija y. Procesne teorije: Kognitivni model motivacije, Teorija pravičnosti u socijalnoj razmjeni, Integrativni procesni model radne motivacije.

Parallel abstract (English)Motivation encourages creativity, innovation, employee development and their position within company. From that reasons numerous material and non-material strategies have been developed, making complete motivational system applicable and possible. Some of the motivation strategy managers are required to know how to implement are motivation, guidnance and encouragment. These strategies are implemented only for one main reason and that reason is simple: better company buissness. Motivation itself comes in two different shapes: Intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. However, there are many motivation theories out there. All of them are based on assumptions, and different dimensions of human behavior. There are two main, large groups of that theories and they are: Contentual and Process. Contentual Theories: Hierarchy of Need, Three-Stage, Success motivation, Two-Factor motivation theory, Miner's role theory, and x & y theories. Proccess theories: Cognitive motivation model, theory of Fairness in Social Exchange, Intergrative work motivation model. Motivation is often connected with term of pleasure on work. It shows the level of employee's love and dedication towards the work he is suposed to do. It is, as in all times, well known that money is the best and most relieable source of workers motivation and is the oldest and the most simple way to motivate employee for work.
