AbstractGlobalizacija je omogućila organizacijama da posluju u drugim državama diljem svijeta pri čemu sposobnost pregovaranja s inozemnim partnerima postaje presudan faktor za uspješno međunarodno poslovanje. Pri tome do izražaja dolaze sposobnosti pregovarača, njihove sposobnosti prilagodbe na drugačije stavove, mišljenja i ponašanja u odnosu na vlastito okruženje kao i sposobnost otvorenosti prema upoznavanju i razumijevanju različitih kultura. Pregovaranje je proces u kojemu se pronalaze načini kako bismo dobili nešto od onoga tko želi nešto od nas. U međunarodnim pregovorima, svaki pregovarač je nositelj kulture svoje države. Kultura i kulturne razlike imaju temelj u običajima, vrijednostima i shvaćanjima pojedinih naroda pa iz tog razloga svaki narod manje ili više ustraje na njihovom održavanju. Kultura utječe na to kako ljudi gledaju na cjelokupni pregovarački proces, na njihovu predodžbu o drugim sudionicima i na to kako zapravo vode pregovore. Potrebno je znati razumjeti i uvažavati stavove drugih kultura, njihove različitosti i jednostavno ih prihvatiti kao takve kakve jesu.

Parallel abstract (English)Globalization has enabled to organizations a possibility to trade in other countries all around the world, so the ability of negotiating with foreign partners has became the most important factor for the successful international trading. Some of those factors are ability of adapting to different views and behavior and the ability to be open towards getting know and understanding of different cultures. Negotiation is a process of searching appropriate way to get something from someone who wants something from us. In the international negotiations, each negotiator is ambassador of his own culture. Values, customs and perceptions of each nation form a culture and differences between them, depending on a level of maintaining an own culture, which influences on the entire negotiating process, on the aspect about other participants and their way of running the process. It is highly important to understand and to respect other cultures views, their diversity and just to accept them as they are. Paper deposited in: Library of Polytechnic in Šibenik
