Ethics is a philosophical discipline that examines the meaning and goals of moral will, the fundamental criteria for moral evaluation, as well as the general basis and source of morality. In today's complex global world, it is not simple and easy to make an ethical decision, but there are several criteria for evaluating and making an ethical decision, and they are: the ulitaristic and individualistic criterion, the criterion of justice and the criterion of law. Management is the process by which a group of managers directs the actions of employees in order to achieve common goals. Business ethics and business morale play a major role in management. Business ethics is a way of conceiving, concluding, communicating and performing business according to spiritual, sociological, biological and natural laws of man and the environment. Business morality is part of business ethics and is defined as a set of unwritten general moral norms and values, which determine the behavior of managers in business relationships. Unethical behavior destroys the corporate reputation of the organization, but also the employee as an individual.The paper presents an example of management ethics in Croatian business practice.
