AbstractU ovome radu opisana su poglavlja : marketing, oglašavanje, sport u Republici Hrvatskoj, te primjeri oglašavanja u sportu. Oglašavanje kao jedan od elemenata marketinške komunikacije zaokuplja pažnju uže i šire javnosti. U radu su opisane funkcije oglašavanja, a to su komunikacijska i prodajna funkcija. Što se tiče komunikacijske funkcije, ona služi za komunikaciju sa ciljanom publikom, dok prodajna funkcija apelira na kupnju određenih proizvoda ili usluga. Sport je u Republici Hrvatkoj od velikog značaja, posebice nogomet, te rukomet koji grubo rečeno odskaču od drugih sportova. Oglašavanje u sportu je veoma bitno, te uvelike pridonosi profitu gospodarskih poduzeća. Razni oblici oglašavanja, primjerice, reklame na TV-u, Internetu, panoi, nagradne igre i ostalo, poboljšavaju prodaju raznih proizvoda i usluga koju oglašivači nude.

Parallel abstract (English)In this paper are described chapters : marketing, advertising, sport in Republic of Croatia, and examples of advertising in the sports. As a one of the elements of marketing communication, advertising engages the attention of the general public. In the paper is describe a function of advertising, and that is the communication function and sales function. The communication function is based on communication with target public, while the sales function appeals to buy some specific products or services. The sport in Republic of Croatia is very important, especially football, and handball because they are more popular than other sports. Advertising in sports is very important and it contributes a profit to a business company. Different forms of advertising, for example, TV commercials, commercials on Internet, billboards, improves the sales of many products and services which the company offers.
