Abstract
Metabolički sindrom je skup poremećaja koji uključuje hiprlipidemiju, nedekvatnu otpornost na inzulin, hipertenziju te trbušni tip pretilosti. Bolesnici koji pate od ovog sindroma imaju povećani rizik za bolesti srca i krvnih ţila, moţdanog udara i dijabetesa tipa II. Stres se smatra jednim od uzroka jer remeti hormonsku ravnoteţu i povećava sklonost akumuliranju masnoće u trbuhu i dislipidemijama. Debljina je karakteristika ovog sindroma, to je tipično, tzv.centralna pretilost, gdje se mast... More nakuplja uglavnom oko struka. U liječenju metaboličkog sindroma ključno je rano prepoznavanje simptoma i poduzimanje mjera koje će smanjiti prisutnost rizičnih čimbenika. Zdravstveni se turizam vrlo malo istraţivao pa u stranoj i hrvatskoj literaturi još uvijek nema utvrĎene i šire prihvaćene definicije tog turizma. Zato se u zdravstveni turizam često uključuju i bolnice (talasoterapije, toplice i si.) u koje dolaze bolesnici iz udaljenih krajeva na bolničku njegu. Povijest čovjekova razvoja pokazuje da je čovjek, što je bolje ţivio, više brinuo za svoje zdravlje i ţelio se bolje osjećati. Mineralna, morska i obična voda imale su vrlo vaţno mjesto u oporavku čovjekova zdravlja, posebno termalne vode, što je poznato još iz antičkog doba. Abstract (english)
Metabolic syndrome is a set of disorders that includes hyperlipidemia, inadequate insulin resistance, hypertension, and abdominal obesity. Patients suffering from this syndrome are at increased risk for heart and blood vessel disease, stroke, and type II diabetes. Stress is considered one of the causes because it disrupts hormonal balance and increases the tendency to accumulate fat in the abdomen and dyslipidemias. In the treatment of the metabolic syndrome, it is crucial to recognize the symptoms early and take action that will reduce the presence of risk factors. Health tourism has been poorly researched, so there is still no established and broadly accepted definition of tourism in foreign and Croatian literature. That is why health tourism often includes hospitals (thalassotherapies, spas, etc.), which bring patients from distant areas to hospital care. The history of man's development shows that the better he lived, the more he cared for his health and wanted to feel better. Mineral, seawater and plain water have played a very important role in the recovery of human health, especially thermal water, which has been known since ancient times.
