The main theme of this paper is the sustainable management of environmental components, namely water. The principles of sustainable development are key to preserving the environment and water resources. Protection is done through the prevention of environmental hazards, the prevention of damage and / or pollution of the environment, the reduction and / or elimination of damage caused to the environment and the restoration of the environment to the state before damage. Water is the main component of every living being, and therefore essential for life and survival. Hence, there is a need for the introduction of a sustainable and integrated management of water resources to ensure that water needs are met not only for the present but also for future generations. Due to the value and importance of water resources, but also for so many different uses for water, water resources protection is essential and it is closely related to the principles of sustainable management. It is necessary not only to carry out water protection, but it is necessary to carry out protection against the harmful effects of water, which is most evident through floods and erosion. Effective planning and implementation of measures and activities can substantially reduce the potential for flood damage and can simultaneously increase the yields of agricultural production.
