Abstract
Međunarodna organizacija kriminalističke policije, koja je poznata pod nazivom INTERPOL, osnovana je 1923. godine u Beču, pod nazivom Međunarodna komisija kriminalističke policije. INTERPOL je druga po veličini najveća međunarodna organizacija, nakon Ujedinjenih naroda. Osnovana je sa svrhom međunarodne kriminalističko-policijske suradnje. U njenom radu sudjeluje 190 država članica. Organizacija se financira godišnjim prilozima država članica, prima godišnje oko 40 milijuna eura. Sjedište... More međunarodne organizacije kriminalističke policije INTERPOL-a nalazi se u Lyonu, u Francuskoj. Predsjednica organizacije je trenutno Mireille Ballestrazzi iz Francuske, dok je glavni tajnik nijemac Jürgen Stock. S obzirom na neutralnu političku ulogu, Statut INTERPOL-a ne dopušta sudjelovanje u unutardržavnim kriminalističkim akcijama, te riješavanje rasnih, političkih, vojnih ili vjerskih zločina. Rad organizacije je usmjeren na javnu sigurnost, suzbijanje organiziranog kriminala, antiterorizam, spriječavanje trgovanja ljudima, dječje pornografije, krivotvorenje novca, financijskog, te high-tech zločina i korupcije. Međunarodna organizacija kriminalističke policije – INTERPOL se sastoji od slijedećih organa: Generalne skupštine, Izvršnog odbora, Generalnog tajništva, Središnjih nacionalnih biroa, savjetnika i i kontrolne komisija. Njihove nadležnosti i odnosi regulirani su Statutom, koji je kao jedna vrsta međunarodnog ugovora prihvaćen od strane svih država članica. Republika Hrvatska je postala članica INTERPOL-a u studenom 1992. godine. Abstract (english)
International organization of criminal police department, well-known as INTERPOL, was established in 1923 in Vienna, entitled International Commission of Criminal Police. INTERPOL is, after United Nations, the second largest international organization. The purpose of its establishment was international criminal police collaboration. There are 190 member countries. The organization is financed by annual contributions of member countries, about 40 million euros annually. The headquarters... More of INTERPOL is in Lyon, France. Currently, the President of the organization is Mireille Ballestrazzi from France, while the General Secretary is the German Jurgen Stock. Regarding the neutral political role, the Constitution of INTERPOL does not allow participation in intrastate criminal actions, solving racial, political, military or religious crimes. The function of the organization is directed towards the public safety, suppressing the organized crime, antiterrorism, human trafficking prevention, child pornography, money forgery, financial, hi-tech crime and corruption. INTERPOL consists of the following sections: General assembly, Executive committee, General secretary`s office, National central bureaus, advisers and Control commission. Their jurisdiction and relations are regulated by the Constitution, as a form of international contract accepted by all member countries. Republic of Croatia has become the member country of INTERPOL in November in 1992.
