Abstract
Unutarnji plovni putovi se kao vid transporta sve češće koriste u suvremenom načinu prijevoza zbog prihvatljivih karakteristika kao što su jeftinija cijena prijevoza, zanemariv štetni učinak na okoliš, mogućnost prijevoza tereta velikih gabarita i ostalo. Primjenom informacijsko-komunikacijskih sustava i suvremenih tehnologija prijevoza u opskrbnim lancima na unutarnjim plovnim putovima omogućuje se da gotov proizvod bude isporučen krajnjem potrošaču u pravo vrijeme, na pravom mjestu i u odgovarajućem stanju. S obzirom na mnoge prednosti u odnosu na ostale grane prometa, Europska komisija je razvila plan da se prijevoz unutarnjim plovnim putovima znatno više rabi od ostalih vidova transporta.
Abstract (english)
Inland waterways as a mode of transportation increasingly used in the modern mode of transport because of acceptable characteristics such as cheaper fares transport, negligible adverse effect on the environment, transport of goods of large dimensions and more. Applying information and communication systems and modern transportation technology in supply chains on inland waterways enables the finished product to be delivered to the final consumer at the right time, the right place and in proper condition. Due to the many advantages compared to other transport sectors, the European Commission developed a plan to the inland waterway much more use of other forms of transport.
