Abstract
Mirovinski sustav suočava se s izazovima kao što su starenje populacije, smanjenje radno aktivnog stanovništva i duži životni vijek umirovljenika. Ovi trendovi dovode do pritiska na financijsku stabilnost sustava, s manjim brojem zaposlenih koji financiraju sve veći broj umirovljenika. Kako bi mirovinski sustav bio održiv, nužne su reforme koje će odgovoriti na ove izazove. Jedna od mogućnosti je produljenje radnog vijeka, čime bi se povećao broj godina u kojima pojedinci uplaćuju u mirovinski... More fond, a smanjio pritisak na sustav. Također, potrebno je poticati individualnu štednju za mirovinu putem privatnih mirovinskih fondova, kako bi se proširili izvori financiranja u starijoj dobi. Abstract (english)
The pension system faces challenges such as an aging population, a decline in the working-age population, and longer life expectancy of retirees. These trends put pressure on the financial stability of the system, with fewer employees funding a growing number of retirees. To ensure the sustainability of the pension system, reforms are necessary to address these challenges. One option is to extend the working life, increasing the number of years individuals contribute to pension funds and... More reducing pressure on the system. Additionally, it is important to encourage individual retirement savings through private pension funds to diversify sources of income in old age. Financial literacy and awareness of the need for personal savings play a crucial role. A combination of public and private pension funds can help reduce the burden on public finances. Long-term sustainability requires reforms, adaptation to demographic changes, and cooperation between the government, employers, and citizens. Less
