The aim of this paper is to analyze consumer loans. Credit is an indispensable element of growth and development of the socio - economic system. The required capital for most investments is obtained with funds obtained from bank loans. Namely, especially in small economic markets where the financial system is not fully developed, companies use bank loans as the most common way of raising capital. A credit relationship is a debtor-creditor relationship in which the creditor, ie the bank lends money to the debtor for a certain period, with a certain interest rate, under the agreed conditions. The loan is determined by a number of factors that the borrower must meet in order to be able to meet its obligation to the bank, and one of the most important is the way loan repayments. We distinguish many types of loans, and one of them is consumer credit. Consumer credit is a loan intended for individuals, usually without or with low collateral, for personal, family or household purposes. Consumer credit is of great economic importance because it enables consumption by the population and results in an increase in domestic demand.
