Abstract
Otpad kao svakodnevna stavka predstavlja jedan iznimno bitan segment života ljudi. Dugogodišnje zanemarivanje i izbjegavanje problematike otpada dovelo je hrvatske turističke destinacije u sadašnju situaciju. kasno suočavanje s problemom gospodarenja otpadom, što je ujedno i produkt povećanja turističke ponude, dovelo je do povećanja broja promjena i izmjena ustava o održivom gospodarenju otpadom. Lokalne samouprave su bile prisiljene uhvatit se u koštac s održivim gospodarenjem otpadom što je dovelo do pozitivnih pomaka, tj. dovelo je do izrade posebnih planove i elaborata o održivom gospodarenju otpadom, za svaku pojedinu turističku destinaciju. Svrha ovog je prikazivanje problematike s kojom se Republika Hrvatska i društvo Republike Hrvatske trenutno suočava u vidu održivog gospodarenja otpadom.
Abstract (english)
Today, waste is an extremely important segment of everyday human life. Many years of neglecting and avoiding waste issues have brougt Croatian touristic destinations in the present situation. The late confrotation with the problem of waste management, which has also been a product of tourism supply increase, has led to growing number of changes and amendments of the constitutionin sustainable waste management. Local self –governments have been forced to tackle the problem of sustainable waste management, which has led to positive developments, to be more exact development of specific plans and studies on sustainable waste management for each tourist destination. The purpose of this is to present the issue that Republic of Croatia and its society are currently facing in the form of sustainable waste management.
