Rural tourism is one of the most popular strategies for developing rural and neglected areas. It has started to develop in the world more recently as a special form of tourism, whose main characteristics are the absence of noise, the preserved environment, the peaceful environment, and it takes place in rural areas outside the cities. Considering that rural areas belong to about 90% of the territory of the Republic of Croatia, with over 40% of the population, and these areas are spacious and sparsely populated, while the number of inhabitants is continuously decreasing, the development of these areas becomes a priority in the segment of economy, labor and entrepreneurship, and tourism. Although Dalmatinska zagora is an area of great tourist potential, rich in natural and cultural heritage that is largely unjustifiably neglected, its tourist development is at the very beginning.
