Abstract
Sport i turizam su dva oblika ponašanja koja se očituju kao potreba za ljudskom prirodom, jer čovjek je uvijek kroz igru mjerio svoju snagu, natječući se s drugima i podjednako širio svoje horizonte putujući izvan svoje domovine. Može se reći da se danas veliki broj ljudi nalazi u ulozi turista kroz razne načine i aktivnosti, a sport i turizam su masovni globalni fenomen, dio kulture suvremenog čovjeka. I sport i turizam su oblik ljudske rekreacije i zabave, a zbog masivne prirode podrazumijevaju i značajne ekonomske učinke koji postaju još izraženiji kada je riječ o sportu i turizmu. Veza između sporta i turizma datira se od samih početaka njihovog razvoja od vremena drevne Grčke kada su putovanja bila povezana s posebnim događajem Olimpijskih igara koje se održavaju svake četiri godine.
Abstract (english)
Sports and tourism are two forms of behaviour that manifest themselves as a need for human nature, since man has always been a man through the game measuring his strength, competing with others, and equally spreading his horizons by traveling outside his homeland. It can be said that today a large number of people are actually tourists through various ways and activities and that sport and tourism are a mass global phenomenon, part of the culture of modern man. Both sport and tourism are a form of human recreation and entertainment, and because of the massive nature they also imply significant economic effects, which become even more pronounced when it comes to sport and tourism. The link between sport and tourism dates back to the very beginnings of their development since the time of ancient Greece when the voyages were linked to a special event of the Olympic Games held every four years.
