Abstract
Jadransko more, šume, planine, rijeke i jezera su jedan dio široke turističke ponude koju Hrvatska može pružiti europskim ali i svjetskim posjetiteljima. Posebice je važno razvijati i sve više implementirati specifične oblike turizma, koji potiču razvoj ruralnih područja, od čega lokalni stanovnici imaju veliku korist sa vrlo malim djelovanjem na prirodu i okoliš. Grad Otočac je jedan od primjera koji bi svojim ulaganjem i razvijanjem ekološkog, ruralnog i kulturnog turizma mogao biti još jedan sastavni dio turističke ponude područja Like koju krase nacionalni parkovi, bogatstvo rijeka, šuma, planina i čistog zraka, a to sve upotpunjuje i presijecanje glavnih prometnih pravaca zbog čega je Lika nazvana „pragom“ kontinentalne i primorske Hrvatske. Najvažniji segment ponude je razviti turizam na području grada Otočca baziran na održivom razvoju sa što manjim utjecajem na prirodna bogatstva koja se danas u svijetu zanemaruju i uništavaju urbanizacijom, prometom i industrijom.
Abstract (english)
Adriatic Sea, forests, mountains, rivers and lakes are parts of rich tourist offer that Croatia can offer to European as well as international visitors. It is particularly important to develop and implement specific forms of tourism that are acceptable for nature and development of rural areas of which local residents have greater benefits with no or little effect on the environment and nature overall. The Otočac city is an example of town who can develop and invest in environmental, rural and cultural type of tourism, and it could be an integral part of the tourist area that are based on national parks, the wealth of rivers, forests, mountains and clear air. All this completes the interruption of the main traffic routes because of which Lika is called "the threshold" of the continental and coastal Croatia. The most important segment of the tourist offer is to develop tourism in the Otočac area based on sustainable development with minimal impact on natural resources that are neglected and destroyed all over the world by urbanization, transport and industry.
