Abstract
Cestovni promet je jedna od najstarijih vrsta prometa, a imao je i ključnu ulogu u gospodarskom razvoju država. U Republici Hrvatskoj najzastupljenija grana prometa je upravo cestovni promet. Geoprometni položaj Hrvatske je povoljan, naime preko Hrvatske prolazi nekoliko paneuropskih prometnih koridora i njihovih ogranaka, koji povezuju Srednju Europu i Bliski istok, te sjever i jug Europe. Zbog oblika i razvedenosti teritorija dobra prometna povezanost važna je i za samu Hrvatsku, a posebice na smjerovima koji povezuju unutrašnjost s obalom. U radu se opisuje cestovni promet, njegov povijesni razvoj kao i stanje cesta danas. Sa ciljem prikaza značajnosti cestovnog prometa za Republiku Hravstku predočene su tablice i grafikoni stanja cestovnog prijevoza robe kroz razdoblje od pet godina.
Abstract (english)
Road traffic is one of the oldest modes of transport, and it played a key role in the economic development of countries. In Republic of Croatia, the most common branch of traffic is actually the road traffic. Geotraffic position of Croatia is advantageous, namely through Croatia passes several Pan-European traffic corridors and their branches that connect Central Europe, Middle East, and North and South Europe. Due to the shape and indented territory, good traffic connections are especially important for Croatia, in particular the directions that connect the heartland with the coast. This paper describes the road traffic, its historical development, as well as the state of the roads today. Tables and graphs that show the state of the road transport of goods over a period of five years are presented with a goal to display the significance of road transport in the Republic of Croatia.
