Landfills have become cluttered with garbage every day and unfortunately this is a big problem. However, reasonable waste management, most of the discarded remains can be processed and converted into a new valuable and useful substances. Waste Management in the world is now given much more attention. The main objective is with the different measures to reduce consumption of resources, and encourage reuse and recycling. Integrated waste management system involves the construction of eco - yard. Eco - yards are special enclosures intended for the collection and recycling of waste. To determine the importance of the yard, it is necessary to know what is waste, how it affects the environment man and why it should be recycled. As for the Croatian, it is, compared to other European countries, only in the early stages of developing eco - yard, and that phase should soon pass. Eco - yards are the foundation of corporate social responsibility and modern society. If Croatia wants to be part of that society must take real actions to solve the problem of illegal landfills and redefined certain spaces in eco - yard.
