AbstractKvaliteta je subjektivan pojam, ali se najbolje može opisati kao skup značajki nekog proizvoda ili usluge koji utječe na život pojedinca i zadovoljava njegove potrebe. Kvaliteta se danas koristi kao svojevrsni alat s kojim se može postići konkurentnost i ostvariti uspjeh na tržištu ponude i potražnje. Ona povezuje ponudu i potražnju jer kvalitetan proizvod će pronaći svog kupca. Menadžment mora puno pažnje posvećivati kvaliteti jer produktivnost raste kao posljedica upravljanja kvalitetom i smanjuje se broj defekata, naime kvalitetan je proizvod proizvod sa nula defekata. Na ovaj način smanjuju se troškovi, ne gubi se tržišni udjel, ugled kao ni kupci dok su pozitivne posljedice upravljanja kvalitetom uspješno poslovanje i postizanje konkurentnosti i profita. Veliki značaj za razvoj kvalitete imali su gurui kvalitete (Joseph M. Juran, Edwards Deming, Armand Feigenbaum, Kaoru Ishikawa, Genichi Taguchi i Shingeo Shingo te Philip Crosby, Tom Peters i Clauss Moller ). Omogućili su bolje poznavanje kvalitete kao i upotrebu sustava, tehnika, alata koje su razvili za postizanje iste. Također gurui kvalitet upozorili su na važnost menadžera i njihovog rada u cilju ostvarenja kvalitete. Kao budućnost kvalitete vidi se povezivanje kvalitete sa drugim važnim čimbenicima poput etike i društvene odgovornosti, zatim upravljanja okolišem, zaštitom zdravlja itd.

Parallel abstract (English)Quality is a subjective term. It can be described as a set of features of a product or service that affects the life of an individual and cover its needs. Quality is now used as a specific tool with which you can achieve competitiveness and achieve success in the market supply and demand. It connects the supply and demand because a quality product will always find a customer. Management must be focused on quality since production can as a consequence in quality management and it can reduce the number of defects, namely quality is a product of products with zero defects. At this way, costs are reduced, you can't lose your market share, reputation or buyers while the positive effects of quality management are successful business and achieving competitiveness and profits. Quality gurus had great importance for the development of quality (Joseph M. Juran, Edwards Deming, Armand Feigenbaum, Kaoru Ishikawa, Genichi Taguchi I Shingeo Shingo TE Philip Crosby, Tom Peters I Clauss Moller). They provided a better insight of the quality and the use of systems, equipment, tools that were developed to achieve the same. Also the quality gurus have warned us of the importance of managers and their work in order to achieve quality. Future of quality includes merging connection quality to other important factors such as ethics and social responsibility, environmental management, health protection, etc.
