Abstract
This graduate thesis defines and elaborates the topics of geopolitics and marketing, and through theory and conducted empirical research, points to the interweaving and interdisciplinary nature of these topics in everyday practice. Chronologically, the first part of the paper defines marketing, the marketing environment as well as the trends it creates, followed by politics and geopolitics as a subcategory that this paper primarily focuses on. The second part of the paper presents important geopolitical moments in recent history, through which the connection with the marketing of various companies can be seen, while the third part of the paper presents an empirical investigation of behavioral changes among consumers, due to geopolitical action on the example of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Abstract (english)
Ovaj diplomski rad definira i elaborira teme geopolitike i marketinga te kroz teoriju i provedeno empirijsko istraživanje, ukazuje na isprepletanje i interdisciplinarnost ovih tema u svakodnevnoj praksi. Kronološki, prvi dio rada definira marketing, marketinško okruženje kao i trendove koje ono stvara, a zatim politiku i geopolitiku kao supkategoriju na koju se ovaj rad primarno osvrće. Drugi dio rada prezentira važne geopolitičke trenutke u recentnoj povijesti, kroz koje se uviđa povezanost sa marketingom različitih poduzeća, dok je u trećem dijelu rada prikazano empirijsko istraživanje bihevioralnih promjena kod potrošača, uslijed geopolitičkog djelovanja na primjeru Covid-19 pandemije.
