Abstract
Statistika je grana matematike koje se bavi prikupljanjem, analizom i interpretacijom prikupljenih podataka. U Formuli 1 statistika nam može pomoći u analizi performansi pojedinih vozača i timova u odnosu na njihove timske kolege i druge timove. U ovom radu korištena je primijenjena podatkovna analiza na temelju deskriptivne statistike, korelacijske analize na razini vozača i na razini timova, te regresijske analize na razini vozača i na razini timova. Kako bi došli do statističkih zaključaka koristili su se podatci iz svijeta Formule 1 koji uključuju: ukupan broj bodova, broj najbržih krugova, nagrade za vozača dana, prosječna startna pozicija i prosječna pozicija u utrkama, te su se navedeni podaci analizirani na temelju vozača i timova. Cilj rada bio je utvrditi postoje li veze između gore navedenih podataka, te na koji način one potencijalno utječu na vozače i timove.
Abstract (english)
Statistics is a branch of mathematics that deals with data collection, data analysis and interpretation of collected data. In Formula 1 statistics can help us to examine the performance of individual drivers and teams in relation to their teammates and other teams. This thesis presents the application of data analysis on sports data, based on descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis. The goal of this thesis was to examine the relationship of different parameters related to Formula 1. The analysis was conducted both on the level of drivers and on the level of teams. The analysis was conducted on the Formula 1 data including: the total number of points, number of fastest laps, driver of the day rewards, average starting position and average finishing position in races.
