The paper examines the social policies of the Republic of Croatia, which are aimed at improving the quality of life of young people. These policies are implemented through national programs that are developed in cooperation with various stakeholders, including youth associations. They are operationalized through regional and local governments with the aim of meeting the needs of young people. The overall development of social policy towards young people in the Republic of Croatia is strongly influenced by the orientation and entry of the Republic of Croatia into European integration. The goal of the paper is to present strategic areas, goals, and activities and measures aimed at improving the quality of life of young people in the Republic of Croatia in accordance with the National Action Program for Youth. Based on the analysis of the available literature, it is evident that it is necessary to continue investing in the young population in order to improve the quality of their life in various areas, including education, science, employment, entrepreneurship, community development, social inclusion, health and sports. A significant step forward can also be made by encouraging the return of young people to rural areas and by providing measures for adaptation and information about the possibilities of education and professional development in the conditions of the European and digital environment.
