Abstract
Kroz rad je prikazano funkcioniranje i poslovanje komunalnih poduzeća, kako u Republici Hrvatskoj tako i u BiH. Također, u radu je kompariran sustav u dvije zemlje, odnosno na koji način komunalna poduzeća funkcioniraju i u kakvom su stanju. Komunalna poduzeća su u bivšem državnom uređenju imale više socijalnu notu nego profitabilnu, što se zadržalo do danas. Danas takva poduzeća moraju prihvaćati promjene i novonastale trendove na tržištu i u svijetu. Problematika vođenja i upravljanja tih poduzeća je na visokoj razini. Danas, u turbuelntnom i dinamičnom poslovanju svako komunalno poduzeće zahtijeva strategiju razvoja, koja mora biti implementirana u sve pore poduzeća na svim razinama. Funkcioniranje komunalnih poduzeća je svrsishodno za građane i područje u kojima komunalno poduzeće obavlja svoju određenu djelatnost.
Abstract (english)
The paper presents the functioning and operations of utility companies, both in the Republic of Croatia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, the paper compares the system in the two countries, i.e. how utility companies function and in what condition they are. In the former state system, communal companies had more of a social note than a profitable one, which has remained until today. Today, such companies have to accept changes and emerging trends in the market and in the world. The issue of leading and managing these companies is at a high level. Today, in a turbulent and dynamic business, every utility company requires a development strategy, which must be implemented in all parts of the company at all levels. The functioning of utility companies is expedient for the citizens and the area in which the utility company performs its specific activity.
