Abstract
The paper describes how the English language is used for the purpose of displaying and promoting adventure tourism in Croatia. The work starts from the definition of tourism and adventure tourism, an explanation of the selective form of tourism. The aim of the paper is to show which English words are used in adventure tourism in Croatia. Statistical analysis of the appearance of certain words characteristic of adventurous tourism attempts to decipher the link between adventurous tourism and the appearance of English vocabulary in vlogs. The paper focuses on the analysis of video logs and starts from the assumption that trend-related information can be quickly observed today in digital format. The word corpus was obtained by copying transcripts of adventure tourism vlogs from the video-sharing platform, YouTube. The words most frequently displayed in the corpus of words are presented in a table that served as a list of English key words on adventure tourism in Croatia. The paper illustrates how linguistic analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis can help to understand and improve the promotion of adventure tourism in Croatia.

Rad opisuje na koji se način iskorištava engleski jezik za potrebe prikazivanja i promidžbe avanturističkog turizma u Hrvatskoj. Rad polazi od definicije turizma i avanturističkog turizma, objašnjenja selektivnih oblika turizma. Cilj rada je prikazati koje se engleske riječi koriste u avanturističkom turizmu u Hrvatskoj. Statističkom analizom pojavnosti određenih riječi karakterističnih za avanturistički turizam pokušava se odgonetnuti veza između avanturističkog turizma i pojavnosti engleskog vokabulara u vlogovima. Rad je usmjeren na video logova polazi od pretpostavke da se informacija vezane uz trendove danas može brzo uočiti u digitalnom formatu. Korpus riječi je dobiven kopiranjem prijepisa vlogova o avanturističkom turizmu sa platforme za dijeljenje videozapisa, Youtube. Riječi koje se najčešče prikazuju u korpusu riječi, prikazane su u tablici koja je poslužila kao lista ključnih engleskih riječi o avanturističkom turizmu u Hrvatskoj. Rad ilustrira kako jezična analiza, kvantitativna i kvalitativna analiza može pomoći u razumijevanju i unaprjeđenju promidžbe avanturističkog turizma u Hrvatskoj.
