AbstractOvaj rad bavi se medijima u suvremenom turizma. Odnosno kako se turizam može što bolje razvijati uz pomoć medija. U današnje vrijeme, procesom globalizacije i sve brojnijim i neizvjesnijim promjenama na turističkom tržištu uloga medija značajnija je no ikad. Kroz prošlost je osnova promocije turizma bio marketinški pristup turističkih subjekata no danas to više nije dovoljno. Razvojem tehnologije sami turisti svojim objavama na internetu snažno utječu na razvoj turističke destinacije, a svakodnevno se nalaze novi marketinški načini za privlačenje turista. Turizam kakav danas postoji nemoguće je zamisliti bez medija koji omogućavaju lak pristup informacijama, online rezervacije putovanja i smještaja i detaljno planiranje putovanja. S druge strane, i nosioci turističke djelatnosti lakše privlače svoje klijente uz pomoć medija pružajući im uvid u svoju ponudu. Moderni turist zahtjeva iskustvo, novosti, pristupačnost, edukaciju i aktivnost pa ja važno pravilnom marketinškom strategijom pobuditi znatiželju suvremenog turista i ponuditi mu zadovoljavanje njegovih potreba i želja vezanih uz planirano putovanje.

Parallel abstract (English)This paper addresses with the media in the modern tourism. Especially how tourism can be better developed with the help of the media. Nowadays, the process of globalization and the growing number of changes in the tourism market, role of the media is more important than ever. Through the past the basis of tourism promotion was marketing approach tourist subjects but today that is no longer enough. The development of technology, all tourists can by their own revelations on the Internet strongly influence on the development of tourist destinations, and daily there are new ways of marketing to attract potential tourists. Tourism as it exists today can not be imagined without the media that enable easy access to information, reservations for travel and accommodation and the detailed planning of the trip. On the other hand, holders of tourism activities can more easily attract their clients with the assistance of the media by providing them access to their offer more faster and easier. The modern tourist requires experience, news, accessibility, education and activity and therefore it is very important for management to make good marketing strategy which will make modern turist curious and which will inspire him to satisfy his wishes in relation of the planned trip.
