Abstract
U ovom radu analiziraju se osnovne institucije Europske unije, Europski fondovi i njihova namjena. Financiranje iz Europskih fondova od velikog je značaja za rast i razvoj Republike Hrvatske. Detaljnije će se opisati što je civilno društvo te će se definirati osnovne odlike Europskog socijalnog fonda kao financijskog instrumenta kojim se ostvaruju projekti civilnog društva. U praktičnom dijelu rada prikazuje se i analizira projektna ideja otvaranja centra za razvoj civilnog društva u gradu Sveti Ivan Zelina. Centar bi edukacijama i radionicama pridonio jačanju stanovništva, mladih i organizacija civilnog društva s tog područja.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the basic institutions of the European Union, European funds and their purpose. Financing from European funds is of great importance for the growth and development of the Republic of Croatia. It will be described what civil society is and it will be defined European Social Fund as a financial instrument through which civil society projects are realized. In the practical part of the paper, the project idea is opening a center for the development of civil society in the city of Sveti Ivan Zelina. Through training and workshops, the center would contribute to strengthening the population, youth and civil society organizations in the area.
