Abstract
Kriptovalute su digitalni novac koji je kreiran u svrhu digitalne razmjene. Postoji veliki broj kriptovaluta od kojih je najpoznatiji i najrašireniji Bitcoin. Kako bi se moglo uspješno koristiti kriptovalutama potrebno ih je dobro poznavati te imati dobro informatičko znanje. U ovome radu je provedeno istraživanje o poznavanju pojmova kriptovaluta i blockchain tehnologije među populacijom studenata na Veleučilištu u Šibeniku. Dodatno, ispitani su različiti stavovi studenata o kriptovalutama s obzirom na karakteristike studenata vezane uz studij. Nakon provedenog istraživanja saznajemo da studenti većinom smatraju da teme vezane za blockchain tehnologiju i kriptovalute trebaju biti uključeni u obvezne kolegije na studiju. Nadalje većina ispitanika se s temama vezanim uz blockchain tehnologiju i kriptovalute nisu susreli na nastavi te ih većina ocjenjuje kako imaju nedovoljno informatičko znanje potrebno za razumjeti sustav blockchain tehnologije i kriptovaluta. Nadalje, ispitani su različiti stavovi studenata vezani uz važnost, trgovanje, sigurnost kriptovaluta i blockchain tehnologije. Primjenom hi-kvadrat testa ispitana je nezavisnost različitih obilježja studenata vezanih uz studij i njihovih stavova vezanih uz kriptovalute i blockchain tehnologiju.
Abstract (english)
Cryptocurrencies are digital money created for the purpose of digital exchange. There are several cryptocurrencies, the most widespread is Bitcoin. To be able to successfully use cryptocurrencies it`s necessary to know them well and have good computer knowledge. In this paper, a study was conducted on the knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology among the student population at the Polytechnic of Šibenik. In addition, different attitudes of students about cryptocurrencies were examined regarding the characteristics of students related to the study. After the research, we learn that students mostly believe that topics related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies should be included in the required courses at the study. Furthermore, most respondents did not encounter related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in class and most of them assess that they have insufficient IT knowledge needed to understand the system of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, different attitudes of students regarding the importance of trading, security of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology were examined. Using the chi-square test, the independence of different student-related characteristics and their attitudes to cryptocurrencies was examined.
