Workplace mobbing can simply be described as workplace abuse in the form of exclusion, coercion, humiliation, general harassment, emotional abuse, and intimidation. Mobbing is a specific form of aggressive behavior in the workplace in which one or more people in various ways intentionally harass another, or violate the honor and dignity of another person, all with the aim of eliminating them from the workplace. In Croatian legal legislation, there is no single legislative regulation that would provide adequate protection for the abused, but a number of other laws that contain certain provisions that partially prescribe the manner of action in the event of harassment or sexual harassment in the workplace. On the other hand, in countries such as France, Belgium, Canada and the USA, the problem of mobbing is regulated by special laws which emphasize the responsibility of the employer in adopting prevention measures. Also, in addition to the legislative approach to this issue, companies and other economic entities approach the process of preventing and resolving the occurrence of mobbing through labor regulations, collective agreements and codes of business ethics.
