Abstract
Turizam je ljudska aktivnost, čija se organizacijska struktura proteže od jednostavnijih poslovnih jedinica (u ugostiteljstvu, turističkom posredovanju, trgovini) pa sve do složene organizacije gospodarskih (poljoprivreda, industrija) i izvangospodarskih djelatnosti (kultura, zdravstvo i sport) na razini cijele države. U današnje vrijeme rastom broja hotela u Republici Hrvatskoj raste i povećanje dodatnih usluga u hotelskoj ponudi u cilju povećanja potražnje, bolje popunjenosti, zadovoljstva gostiju i povećanja prihoda. Hoteli se mogu razvijati kao zasebne turističke atrakcije i u tom smislu treba planirati i poticati njihov razvoj. Cilj ovog rada je dati sveobuhvatan prikaz karakteristika hotelijerstva s naglaskom na postojeće i novije smjernice kojima se uspješni hoteli vode u svom poslovanju. U tom smislu osobito su bitne dodatne usluge koje doprinose ugodnijem i sadržajnijem odmoru.
Abstract (english)
Tourism is human activity, whose organizational structure extends from simpler business units (in hospitality industry, tourist mediation, trade), all the way to the complex organization of economic (agriculture, industry) and non-economic activities (culture, health, sports) at the state level. Nowadays, with the growth of the number of hotels in the Republic of Croatia, the offer of additional services grows and increases in order to increase demand, better occupancy, guest satisfaction and increase revenue. Hotels can be developed as unique tourist attractions and in that sense their development should be planned and encouraged. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of the characteristics of the hotel industry with an emphasis on existing and recent guidelines that guide successful hotels in their business. In this sense, additional services that contribute to a more pleasant and meaningful vacation are especially important.
