This final work, introduces the natural and geographical characteristics of the island Zlarin and explain how their anti-plastic fight began. From the first initiative and project, to winning the three-day entrepreneurship competition. It finds out who is responsible for this and who supports a very rare but positive activity. However, enviromental protection is on the rise lately and becomes significant domein in Republic of Croatia of great interest. Except that in this work are defined fundamental determinants of enviromental policy and legal frameworks, It also expresses the major issues of waste management. Most want to expres what is their environmental concerns, how much household waste is produced annually and how much it ends up in the environment. Along the legal regulations and norms about enviromental protection, it's hard to reconcile with small precentages of collecting, delaying and recycling of packaging, and everything else what we have been overwhelmed with in last years. Looking into the threat to wildlife, the whole environment and even human health, a few can stay indifferent. The consequences of careless attitude are visible everywhere around us. There are series of ways to help environmental protection and island of Zlarin a bright example in RH, how with little engagement of each individual and not so important financial help we can solve the waste problem in the long run.
