Abstract
Turizam se povezuje s razvojem civilizacija. U prapovijesno doba čovjek je putovao iz potrebe za opstankom, dakle iz potrage za hranom ili traženja boljih uvjeta stanovanja. S razvojem društava motivi putovanja proširili su se i na trgovinu, zdravstvene razloge i stjecanje znanja. Danas se gotovo polovina prijevoza u turističke svrhe u svijetu realizira cestovnim prometom, a posebice automobilma. Prijevoz čini prometno dostupnima turističku destinaciju i pojedine atrakcije u njoj, a razina kvalitete prometne dostupnosti znatno utječe na atraktivnost turističkog proizvoda. Cestovni promet u turizmu može imati karakter vlastitog prijevoza, linijskog (javnog) prijevoza te prijevoza za posebne namjene. U ovom radu prikazana je međuovisnost cestovnog prometa i turizma.
Abstract (english)
Tourism is linked to the development of civilizations. In prehistoric times man traveled out of the need for survival, that is, from the search for food or the search for better living conditions. With the development of societies, travel motives have expanded to include trade, health reasons and the acquisition of knowledge. Today, almost half of the world's tourist travel is by road, especially by car. Transportation makes the tourist destination and its attractions attractive for transport, and the quality of transport accessibility significantly influences the attractiveness of the tourist product. Road transport in tourism can have the character of its own transport, regular (public) and special purpose transport. This paper presents the interdependence of road transport and tourism.
