Abstract
Pojam turizma je sveobuhvatan i mnogoznačajan, ali je zasigurno stvaran i utjecajan fenomen 21. stoljeća odnosno suvremenog društva. Svakodnevno milijuni ljudi putuju ili planiraju putovanja koja s razvojem društva postaju sve kompleksnija, a na kompleksnost putovanja također utječe velika ponuda odnosno mogućnosti ugostitelja te različiti zahtjevi turista. Definicija turizma prema UNWTO-u je da turizam uključuje aktivnosti proizašle iz putovanja i boravka osoba izvan njihove uobičajene sredine ne duže od jedne godine radi odmora, poslovnog putovanja i drugih razloga nevezanih za aktivnosti za koje bi primili ikakvu naknadu u mjestu koje posjećuju. Kako bi putovanja prošla bez problema za obje strane, odnosno za ugostitelja i putnika, putnici trebaju znati svoja prava i obveze koje imaju prije, tijekom i nakon putovanja.
Abstract (english)
The concept of tourism is comprehensive and manifold, but it is certainly a real and influential phenomenon of the 21st century or modern society. Every day, millions of people travel or plan trips that become more complex with the company's development, and the complexity of travel is also influenced by the large offer or catering opportunities and the different demands of tourists. The definition of tourism by UNWTO is that tourism involves activities resulting from travel and stay of persons outside their usual environment for longer than one year for rest, business travel and other reasons unrelated to activities for which they receive any compensation in the place they are visiting. To make travel unmatched for both sides, ie for caterers and travelers, travelers need to know their rights and obligations before, during and after travel.
