Informacijska tehnologija i njezina primjena postaje sve značajnijim elementom u postizanju konkurentnosti i efikasnog poslovanja hotela. Hotelska prodaja je jedna od najznačajnijih poslovnih funkcija, jer su pravovremene informacije o stanju prodaje smještajnih kapaciteta osnova za donošenje ključnih odluka za buduće cjelokupno poslovanje hotela.
