Abstract
U posljednjih desetak godina stres na radnome mjestu postaje sve veći problem, kako u europskim, tako i u svjetskim okvirima. Stres na radnom mjestu je situacija u kojoj različiti čimbenici u interakciji s zaposlenikom mijenjaju njegovo psihološko ili fiziološko stanje do mjere odstupanja od normalnog funkcioniranja. Čimbenici su posljedica nesklada neodgovarajućih zahtjeva radnog okruţenja s mogućnostima zaposlenih ili ovise o zaposleniku, njegovim osobinama, ličnosti, prethodnom iskustvu, stavovima i sustavu vrijednosti. Odnos stresa i zdravlja je još uvijek velika nepoznanica, no suvremena znanstvena otkrića dokazala su da stres na poslu stvara pretpostavke za moţdani i srčani udar, uništava mentalno zdravlje i skraćuje ţivot. Naravno, ako je više zaposlenika ugroţeno stresom u radnom okruţenju, posljedice na cijelu organizaciju mogu biti nemjerljive. Cilj rada je upozoriti na značajnost problema pojave stresa u organizacijama, upoznati ga i naučiti prepoznavati jer se stres moţe spriječiti sustavnom prevencijom, informiranjem i konkretnim mjerama za upravljanje stresom.
Abstract (english)
Over the last decade, stress in the workplace has become a growing problem, both in Europe and worldwide. Workplace stress is a situation in which different factors change the psychological or physiological state of an employee to a degree of deviation from normal functioning. Factors are in mismatch of inadequate work environment requirements with the capabilities of employees, or depends on employees characteristics, personality, previous experience, attitudes and values. The relationship between stress and health is still a big mystery, but contemporary scientific discoveries have shown that stress at work creates preconditions for brain and heart attacks, destroys mental health and shortens life. Of course, if more employees are jeopardized by stress in the work environment, the consequences for the entire organization may be unimaginable.The aim of the paper is to familiarize the society with the stress problem in organizations and alert to the importance of systematic preventing and using specific stress management measures.
