Abstract
Jedan od temelja uspješnog gospodarstva je strategija. Strategijom se definiraju vizija i strateški ciljevi. Cilj ovoga rada je, sukladno tome, prikazati ulogu Strategije razvoja Vukovarsko – srijemske županije u razvoju njenog gospodarstva. Vukovarsko – srijemska županija (VSŽ) je jedna od najperspektivnijih, ali i najzapostavljenijih, županija za cjelokupni razvoj Hrvatske. Županija obiluje prirodnim bogatstvima, ima povoljan geološki položaj, a kulturno - povijesna baština joj daje posebnu konkurentsku prednost naspram drugih županija. Županija je sastavljena od pet gradova, Iloka, Otoka, Vinkovaca, Vukovara i Županje, pa se strategija razvoja primjenjuje i na svaki grad individualno. Strategija VSŽ orijentirana je na društveno – gospodarski razvoj, s ciljem stavranja konkurentnog gospodarstva koje će se temeljiti na kvalitetnim ljudskim resursima i održivom korištenju prirodnih resursa i kulturno – povijesne baštine. Strategijom se također želi postići da VSŽ postane privlačna županija za ulaganja u proizvode i usluge veće dodane vrijednosti.
Abstract (english)
One of the cornerstones of a successful economic is strategy. The strategy defines the vision and strategic objectives. The aim of this paper is to show the role of the Development Strategy of Vukovar - Srijem in the development of its economy. Vukovar - Srijem (VSC) is one of the most promising, but also the most disadvantaged, the county for the overall development of Croatian. The county is rich in natural resources, has favorable geological position, and cultural - historical heritage gives her a special competitive advantage against other Countys. The county is made up of five cities, Ilok, Otok, Vinkovci, Vukovar and Županja, but the development strategy applied to each city individually. VSC strategy is focused on the socio - economic development, with the goal of creation of a competitive economy that will be based on the quality of human resources and the sustainable use of natural resources and cultural - historical heritage. The strategy also seeks to achieve that VSC becomes attractive counties for investment in products and services of higher added value.
