Abstract
Skrbništvo predstavlja obiteljskopravni institut zaštite punoljetni osoba koje su lišene poslovne sposobnosti, maloljetnika bez roditeljske skrbi te drugih osoba koje iz nekih razloga nisu u mogućnosti štititi svoja prava i interese. Štićenikom se naziva osoba koja se nalazi pod skrbništvom, a dok osoba koja obavlja skrbništvo se naziva skrbnik. Dužnost skrbnika je zastupati štićenika u poduzimanju određenih radnji i poslova na koje je štićenik lišen poslove sposobnosti. Skrbništvo će prestati razlogom prestanka zbog kojih je netko stavljen pod skrbništvo, a po prestanku skrbništva skrbnik je dužan sastaviti izvješće te mora predati imovinu na upravljanje dotadašnjem štićeniku.
Abstract (english)
Guardianship is a family law institute for the protection of adult persons who are deprived of business capacity, minors without parental care and other persons who for some reason are unable to protect their rights and interests. A ward is a person who is under guardianship, while a person who performs guardianship is called a guardian. The guardian's duty is to represent the protege in undertaking certain actions and tasks for which the protege is deprived of the ability to do so. The guardianship will end due to the reason for the termination for which someone was placed under guardianship, and after the termination of the guardianship, the guardian is obliged to draw up a report and must hand over the property for management to the previous ward.
