Abstract
Državljanstvo predstavlja jedno od temeljnih ljudskih prava te predstavlja pravni odnos između pojedinca i države. Iz tog odnosa proizlaze obveze i prava koja oblikuju državni suverenitet. Zakon o hrvatskom državljanstvu donesen je 1991. godine i kao većina europskih državljanskih zakona, tako se i ovaj Zakon temelji na ius sanguinis kao temeljnom obliku stjecanja hrvatskog državljanstva. Hrvatski državljani ulaskom u Europsku Uniju 2013. godine, postaju europski građani. Zakoni o državljanstvu razlikuju se od države do države, no postoji međunarodna regulativa koja kontrolira rad država. U ovome radu pojasnit će se pojam državljanstva i analizirati dobivanje hrvatskog državljanstva.
Abstract (english)
Citizenship is one of the fundamental human rights and represents the legal relationship between the individual and the state. From this relationship arise the obligations and rights that shape state sovereignty. The Law on Croatian Citizenship was passed in 1991, and like most European civil laws, this Law is based on ius sanguinis as the basic form of acquiring Croatian citizenship. By joining the European Union in 2013., Croatian citizens become European citizens. Citizenship laws vary from state to state, but there are international regulations that control the work of states. This paper will explain the concept of citizenship and analyze the acquisition of Croatian citizenship.
